How did we deliver?
After the winner of the competition was chosen by Equidor,
we were good to arrange with the winner a shoot date a time which suited both us and them.
The shoot was on the 29th October from 9am-11am and was located in Harold’s Park Farm, Nazeing.
Upon arriving, we met the winner and her beautiful dapple-grey horse.
We shot on the yard in the stable, in nearby fields with a lake and on a dirt track.
We wanted the shots to look natural, so used the surrounding area to aid this.
Luckily, considering the time of year, the weather held out nicely.
We had taken some behind the scenes stuff for our own social media platform,
however as the images turned out nice, these were posted to Equidor's social media pages too, to congratulate the winner.
We had two photographers on the shoot, to make sure we could capture multiple angles.
We took a Sony A7iii and a Panasonic g85 with a Canon 70-200mm lens as well as a Panasonic 12-35mm lens.
We took these lenses as we knew the shoot was going to include wide and close up shots and switching between these two lenses would give us the best results.
The 70-200mm gave a wider frame, better for the further away shots (such as the shots over the lake)
whilst the 12-25mm lens was best for the closer shots such as the woman standing admiring her horse.
No extra lighting was needed due to the shoot being outdoors.
