The brief
Jade and Joe enquired in August 2017, for us to film their wedding in May 2018. They had a rough idea of the videos they wanted, including speech videos and a 15-minute highlight to capture the big day.

Once we had provided a package rate they had agreed on, we arranged for them to meet at our office so we could discuss their special day in a bit more detail. In this meeting, we discussed example styles or other videos they liked the look of to ensure we captured they day how they wanted it, as well as choosing music for the edits. We also ran through the itinerary of the day (e.g. what time bridal party were arriving, when speeches/ceremony were taking place), this so we could plan set up around these times. It was also important to discuss this direct with the venue, and also got them to provide pictures of the venue beforehand. This was so we had a rough idea on what kind of equipment we were to use on the day so there were no lighting issues. Once these initial discussions were done, all we had to do then was wait for the day!
We shot on the 27th May 2017, at the Rivervale Barn in Yateley. We got to the venue promptly at 9am for set up. The day from start to finish ran smoothly, 9am until 9pm. Due to pre-production conversations and research, we already had a pretty idea of shots and look of the venue. We filmed a full day, to make sure we captured all special moments from start to finish. 11am we filmed the bridal preparation, 12pm guests arrived at the ceremony, so we quickly moved to the church to ensure the filming of a few arrivals.
The ceremony began at 1:30pm which we also filmed, so gave ourselves enough time to set up. We ensured to keep the filming services discreet in order to not interrupt the special day, so the guests could focus on the bride and groom. We captured the day beautifully, with mixed cinematic shots of the venue to establish the scenes, shots of the bride and groom during their special moments, as well as capturing guest reactions to the bride’s unveiling. The reception began at 4pm and evening guests started to arrive at 7pm. Here we filmed best man speeches and guest reactions to this. We then went around and captured some 'congratulations' messages with the guests, for that added emotional touch to the video.
Again, having had a conversation with both Jade and Joe before the wedding, we already had a song and editing style to follow which they liked.
The full ceremony and speeches were edited first, this allowed us to structure the highlights video better as we knew what bits we wanted to include. We edited 4 heartfelt final wedding videos for the couple - a full ceremony video, a 15-minute highlight video, full speeches video and an out take video for Jade and Joe to keep and cherish. The video was to be natural, as this is how it was filmed – little interference from us. This was important as Jade mentioned from the beginning that she didn’t want the video crew to be in people's faces too much, as would any bride and groom.
We got the videos delivered on a personalised memory stick for that added special touch from us as a way of saying congrats.

We love the videos. Thank you so much. It perfectly captures the day so we couldn't have asked for anything more. Also, great choice of music!!
